Meeting Highlights & Program

July 2012

Ed recently traveled to the National Depression Glass Association’s 38th Annual Convention, Glass Show, and Sale in Kokomo, Indiana; he presented treasures from the trip as his program.  All of these items caught Ed’s eye at the show or at antique malls on the road, and they delighted the eyes of club members during the program.  He also noted that he gave up two years’ worth of Show-and-Tell opportunities by presenting this program.

The club was treated to a large variety of cordials, goblets, and stems from a variety of glass companies, as well as choice pottery and dinnerware pieces.  Ed shared information about most items (he had only a few unknowns), including the following treasures:

  • Fostoria Glacier (Sun Ray with silver mist decoration) goblet and rose bowl, 1935-1943

  • Fostoria Shooting Stars cordial and goblet

  • Seneca Forest Green #903 cordial
