Meeting Highlights & Program

 

May 2014

 

No program was presented at the May club meeting.  The members shared additional show and tell items in the place of a program.

 

Show & Tell

Club members brought the following treasures for Show and Tell!  Here are some highlights from this meeting.  Descriptions of each treasure is found below the pictures using the corresponding number.

 

 

1. Jeannette clear Harp cake stand
2. Cambridge Moonlight Blue Decagon sugar and creamer (with floral engraving) on handled tray, all with lightning handles
3. On the left is a US Glass cobalt Massachusetts sherry
On the right is a US Glass emerald Massachusetts small vase with gold trim

Ripley clear Dakota 10 inch cake stand with Fern and Berry engraving, circa 1885
6. Imperial Glass Candlewick tumblers with various foot colorations: heather, frosted, flask brown, and bead green, all made in 1951
7. Imperial Glass red carnival America the Beautiful plate #1, US Capitol, made between 1969 and 1971

On the right is a Heisey crystal #459-7 Round Colonial basket with cutting, circa 1915 to 1933
10. Hocking Glass green Colonial (Knife and Fork) spooner, made between 1934 and 1936
11. Cambridge La Rosa Caprice flat tumbler and 3-part relish
12. Clear glass hedgehog from an unknown manufacturer (possibly Fostoria)
13. Tiffin Frosty Regal Blue Velva footed salver from the 1940s
